4 new entries added after 7/22/08
I know I should really stop doing projects while I am in the middle of others. But this one had to happen before it started getting cold. Saturday I decided to put in storm windows. I had considered getting new windows all together, but I didn't want to lose the style of the old ones. Besides, it's a heck of a lot easier to unscrew old storm windows and slap in the new ones. General plan was to get 3 track white ones to replace the old milled grey 2 track windows. I went to Lowe's but they would have to special order them. Home Depot pulled through and had some in the shop. I later found out that they didn't have all the sizes that I wanted. So 6 are on order and should be here in a few weeks. OH! I forgot to mention that Jul and I got the uptown half of the fence painted with a second coat. So that was good to getting that project finished up. |
| Saturday I pulled off the kitchen windows and tested the paint. Sunday I tore into the rest. One broke when the frame twisted. |  |

Most of them came out pretty easily. Chris helped me nock them out. Soon I had all the downstairs windows looking like this. |

Jul went and picked up a few more but the rest are on order. I had enough to do all of the back ones, the side kitchen window and the downstairs bathroom window so we put those up. Hopefully we can get them all up before it gets too cold. I pointed our a few more spots on the front and side that will get painted blue. Also I am still waiting to get the second story done. I wonder why it's called a story. |  |
