Extreme NoSpend

Remember how I did NoSpend November last year? Well this year I decided to try it in December. There are a couple of reasons for this shift. First of all I had a vacation planned already for November so I didn't want to skimp on it since vacations for me are so rare. The other reason is that while last November was difficult (primarily because of football season) it wasn't as big a stretch to pull off. Christmas is a big spending time and I found that instead of really saving on holiday spending, it could have been differed. So is it really no spend? Tough call. So in that spirit I modified one rule from 09. No Christmas stockpiling.

No Change November sprung as a result of things being moved to December. I can now compare it to December as well as last November. I also get a chance to see if I am able to track spending when it is happening all the time. Lets see how it all goes! Also of note, I am changing how I list acquired and consumed. If I acquired a cookie and ate it all in the same day, it will only be listed in consumed. Acquired will only be present for things that make it to the end of the day. The exception to this is cashflow.

Day 29: Silly Munroe

Yesterday? You expect me to remember what I did yesterday? One of the hardest things to do in this whole challenge is to keep track of my life. I am horrible at retracing my day on days where I don't do a whole heck of a lot. Um... well.. Let's see, it was Wednesday. Food was yogurt for breakfast, a grilled naan quesadilla type sandwich with my own salsa for lunch, and a very good pork chop with baked potato (also with salsa) for dinner. Mom even put together some gingerbread with pumpkin in it. Also very good!

Aside from food I resolved an issue with the computer and it turned out to be something very simple (which of course means that it way too long). Apparently if you unplug the power for this particular scanner and plug it back in, it stops the computer from thinking it's a new device and everything works fine. Odd. I was able to help with a few other computer things too and now have a calendar and newly printed picture of my dad and nephew. I also finished up mom's baskets by staining them. What baskets? Ah well I didn't tell you about all the presents I gave out yet have I? Luckily I made a video all about them today. Here you go

Oh and before I forget, Brad Tuttle's It's Your Money blog on Time featured my interview yesterday. Very fun and great to keep me motivated! Also I thought that today's a href="http://xkcd.com/840/">XKCD was great, so I named this post after its author.
