Extreme NoSpend

Remember how I did NoSpend November last year? Well this year I decided to try it in December. There are a couple of reasons for this shift. First of all I had a vacation planned already for November so I didn't want to skimp on it since vacations for me are so rare. The other reason is that while last November was difficult (primarily because of football season) it wasn't as big a stretch to pull off. Christmas is a big spending time and I found that instead of really saving on holiday spending, it could have been differed. So is it really no spend? Tough call. So in that spirit I modified one rule from 09. No Christmas stockpiling.

No Change November sprung as a result of things being moved to December. I can now compare it to December as well as last November. I also get a chance to see if I am able to track spending when it is happening all the time. Lets see how it all goes! Also of note, I am changing how I list acquired and consumed. If I acquired a cookie and ate it all in the same day, it will only be listed in consumed. Acquired will only be present for things that make it to the end of the day. The exception to this is cashflow.

Day 20: Toasted Marshmallow

Today was a good day if you subtract out the blah of being at work. I brought in presents for people in the suite and there was much rejoycing (yaaaay). Lunch was El Rodeo, treated by Ryan and Aaron as my Christmas present. Aaron drove me home and picked up his mocha pie. The fact that it was frozen should help it from getting eaten right away. Dinner was Sushi. Melissa offered to get it for my christmas present but I ordered way too much food and so I chipped in $10 so I didn't seem like a jerk. A grocery run was in order for the remaining pies. I was excited when I ran into an old friend there. I only see him every so often. He's the kind of friend where we always ask the same questions of each other and most of it is based on sorely out of date information or incorrect memories. Still it was nice to see an old familiar face before I took on the daunting task of 5 pies. 5 turned produced a couple of extra samplers for taking home to the family. I am glad to get it all done. It's fun but takes a lot of time for sure. Movie? yes.. yes there's a movie. And no you can't have the secret to my apple pie recipe.
