Saturday morning, bright and early we said goodbye to
the house. We had initially planned on flying out later in the day.
But with all the rain we decided that there was no point in trying
to ride mountains of slush, clean our gear, and pack it all up just
to drive for 3 hours and get on a plane. We cleared 1000 miles on
the truck and made sure to avoid moose traffic. Back across the mountains
in NH, more ski slopes and past the site of the mountain that used
to have the old man face. |

The cheap flight we found did not allow us to change
it without tossing in some extra money. So we went for the extra dough,
got some donuts and hopped on a plane to Baltimore. For some reason
the weather in MD was wretched once I got on the road. It took about
2.5 hours to get to Kia's house. After that it was more horrible weather,
but not as much traffic, but more rain than I have seen in a long
time. |

All in all I think the trip went well. We both did a
good job at actually making it a vacation. Which isn't as easy as
you might think. We're both kinda workaholics. Nice thing.. is that in a few weeks I get to do another
week of snow. Let's hope that there is still some out there! |
