We found Jess waiting for us at the market eating a croissant. She mentioned that it this one place had two new kinds. She then admitted that she had one of each. Nick scuttled off to secure one for himself and to buy something called 'magic coffee.' It was quite a hit.

In no time at all Jamie showed up and we continued around the market. It was decided that we would all get together at her place that night and have dinner. so the agenda to the market day was (in addition to buying lots of cheese for me) was to get food to make dinner. We then wandered around downtown and I found one of the community bikes as well as some other interesting sites.
Among which was a parade of people promoting breast feeding, a horse and carriage complete with a bride and groom, and a group of people on bicycles shouting 'up with bikes.. down with pants.' Later we saw the same group professing 'We can sing and we can dance but we will never wear our pants.'

For the rest of the day we went around town and shopped for random things. I picked up a few presents for people while Jaime, Nick and Jess all found assorted treasures. Oddly, they were in the direction indicated by the sign. After a late lunch at Casba, Jaime headed home while we did some serious resting of our eyes at the hotel.

Of course our trip to the hotel was interrupted with some sitting out by the lake, and eating ice cream. Both of which I have made quite an effort to do as much as possible while I had the chance to do so.
This was just some neato building that Nick and I both took pictures of. Apparently he took a picture of me taking a picture.

Dinner at Jaime's was super tasty. We made lots of food in stages and played cards in between. Nick was very happy because he inherited a huge stash of National Geographics that were going to be thrown out.

After dinner, dessert was a must. I don't think I have had so much dairy since I laid off of the milkshakes. But man was it tasty. See how happy we are! That's the smile you get after you eat tons and tons of food and are trying not to burst. I've gotten pretty good at the whole self portrait picture thing.

And how could I forget the best part of Jaime's home. Her little kitty (Callie) was quite a nut and even brought us out some of her toys that were hidden away.

One last (half) day in the Mad city. Time to get some rest.
