A conference brought me up to Dulles for
work. I made the most of it by going out nites to see some Virginia
Tech Alumni. Thursday I went out with Kia to get dinner. Friday I drove
up to Baltimore to hang out with Mo, Emily, Kia and a scary band that
did really loud irish sounding covers of classic bands like the Rolling
Stones, Tom Petty, and the Violent Femmes (???). Saturday was my night
to go out to check out Po Siam (excellent Thai food) and hang out with
Rod, Niki, Jon, Robb and Kia. The conference was pretty good too. Got
lots of good food and was able to see lots of people that I usually
only hear from over the phone. In the end I got to go home to see my
parents and sister Ann for dinner (the chinese take out didn't give
us fortune cookies! grr... ) and then drive home in some crazy rain.
