  • All old woodworking projects from Homework have been added here. I put in the stairs but I didn't add the fence or the deck. Might add them later.. What do you think?

    Thinking inside of a box - 8/21/06-11/30/06

Well.. the secret is out of the bag. For a while now I have been working on something. While it took longer than I wanted to, I think it turned out quite nicely. I might toss a shelf in there... but for now... it's done! A cabinet for Liza's birthday present.

Liza didn't seem all that interested though. She got in for a while, but then didn't stay for a picture. Jul tried to show her how cool it was. I don't know if she bought it. When it is completely done there will be a hand made cushion on the top. Taikara is making it for her out of corduroy, part of which is from an old pair of pants of mine. I dunno... I like it!

Cabinet: oak and oak plywood, Cost: $140. Dimensions 27.5" hight 26.5" wide 20.5" deep, ~55 lbs

Taikara finished up the cushion for Liza's cabinet. I was very excited with how it turned out. She made it from 3 kinds of courderoy and the fun part is that the tan colored part is from an old pair of my pants. Liza love's sleeping on my clothes so hopefully she'll take to this as well. So far she's kept to her other spots around the house. Hopefully she'll be napping there so you can see her on the webcam
