The Plan

Every so often I realize that I've been spending too much. As a result I take a month (although the first time was 40 days) and 'fast' on spending. It's not easy, but it's quite helpful in many ways. Each time I've done this I have actually made between 50 and 200 dollars. Combine that with the money I didn't spend, and the fact that I reformed my spending, it can have a big impact financially.

Day 14: Terrapin smite

Today was a full day starting with a pancake breakfast at Anna's parents. There was bacon too. Afterward she and I went to a Metro station to go to the VT / MD football game. For some reason it wouldn't take my money so Anna covered my ticket. At the game we met up with Jess and I bought tickets for the NCState game. She was nice enough to give me a slightly reduce price because she didn't have exact change. I am not sure if she knew why I was being so picky about money but oh well. Hopefully she'll read this and see why 8 bucks is so important to me this month :), Oh and we won the game (woo).

During the game Anna and I got it in our head to go to the Melting Pot for dinner. She called to get reservations because for some reason I couldn't hear the lady on the phone. Dinner was good but something didn't sit quite well with her. We did our best to get through all the courses and came home to watch Up. The whole night was all free (for me) because it was Anna's turn to buy and the movie was borrowed from her mom. So while there was a lot of spending on my part, I got a lot of free things too.
